Understanding that the principles set forth in the Declaration in Defence of the Night Sky and the Right to Starlight are of common interest in order to protect this threatened heritage.

In accordance with the agreement reached on the island of La Palma on April 20th, 2007, the Starlight Initiative invites all organizations, both public and private, to adopt the principles of the Starlight Declaration, expressing their support and voluntary commitment to preserve the quality of the night sky and to promote the cultural, scientific and environmental to the observation of the firmament.

The adoption and support of these principles can be expressed by filling the following form where you will also include the agreements that have been achieved:

Another option is by sending a communication where you state your will to adopt
the Starlight Declaration, to the following e-mail:

The communication should include all compulsory fields as in the electronic form.
